Translation lecturer ( Spanish into English)

The post involves planning, teaching and assessing a course on practical translation to Life Sciences & Chemistry undergraduate students on the Degrees with a Language for Science. (Biology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Chemistry). Other duties will involve liaising with and supporting students in a tutorial role and designing courses and materials as adequate.

This is a two hour weekly course to be taught in English and the target foreign language where necessary (40 contact hours over Autumn and Spring Terms 2017/18).

Salary £2,462.80 per annum (£61.57 per hour).

You will be a graduate, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in a related field, with experience of teaching translation at university level

The College cannot normally apply for a Certificate of Sponsorship for this post under Tier 2 of the UKVI’s Points Based System. Any candidate, who is considering applying for this position and requires sponsorship, must ensure that they are able to obtain permission to work in the UK through an appropriate immigration route.
