About the role
The Institute of Education is seeking to appoint a dynamic lecturer who has a genuine passion for imparting knowledge about Education, to instil this enthusiasm for the subject into our students. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who not only understands the student experience, but who also thoroughly enjoys and thrives on making a positive impact for their cohorts both in and out of classes.

The Department of Education and Childhood houses a number of programmes including BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies, BA (Hons) Child and Youth Studies, BA (Hons) Education Studies BA (Hons) SEND, Joint Honours provision, PG Cert HE, MA Childhood, MA Education, MA SEND and MA Educational Leadership.  These awards are not Initial Teacher Training (ITE) programmes. The successful candidate will predominately work on the undergraduate programmes but will support the TESOL provision across the Institute. However, there may be opportunities to work across a number of programmes to support the Education agenda.

For a successful appointment to this role you must have an in-depth knowledge and genuine interest in Education, outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage, confidently, with everyone and the ability to use innovative, flexible and accessible methods of teaching / learning technologies to inspire and motivate students.

Contract Type: Fixed-term until the end of January 2019
