A new opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Architectural Technology to join us and play an active role in driving forward innovative continuous improvement through informed learning, in line with our University’s modern approach to achieve Strategy 20/20.

Situated at our Merchiston Campus, we are in the process of designing a new home for our innovative, award winning School of Engineering and the Built Environment. Renowned for our impactful research contribution focussing on key challenges faced by engineering in an ever growing and developing world, we are shaping the future for generations to come.

This position is a 2 year fixed term contract working part time, 10.5 hours per week.

The Role

In this post, you will build on established project based modules through developing, designing and delivering teaching and student centred learning within architectural technology.

You will have the opportunity to shape and change the delivery of the module whilst showing your enthusiasm and passion for teaching.

You will be joining a supportive and growing team who encourage flexibility and progression within the School.

What Are We Looking For

 Applicants must demonstrate:

  • A doctoral qualification related to the disciple
  • Demonstrable evidence of teaching
  • Ability to provide leadership and support to colleagues, the School and the wider University

Desirable attributes: 

  • A professional qualification
  • Industry experience
  • Teaching qualification such as a membership of the HEA

Benefits We Offer

Salary: Grade 6 £38,183 - £46,924 per annum
