Departmental Lecturer in British Imperial and Global History

We are seeking a Departmental Lecturer in British Imperial and Global History, tenable from 1 September 2017 for a fixed-term of 1 year. The appointment is to fulfil teaching needs pending the recruitment of a permanent postholder.

Applications are invited from scholars with active research and teaching interests in modern British Imperial and Global History. The successful applicant will provide tutorials, lectures, classes and supervision at both undergraduate and graduate level. You will also be required to undertake examining and administrative work and will engage in your own independent research within the Faculty of History.

You will hold a doctorate in a relevant field or show evidence that a doctorate is imminent. You will also demonstrate a record of successful teaching at an appropriate level and in an interesting and engaging manner. A strong research and publication record within the field is essential.
