Research Support Administrator

Band 500 - Full time starting salary is normally in the range £21,904 to £23,532. With potential progression once in post to £27,242 a year.

The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a Research Support Administrator. The School of aligns the activities of Civil Engineering, Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in order to create a multi-disciplinary vibrant environment for outstanding study and research. It fosters the conditions for greater interdisciplinary research collaborations, allowing high calibre students and research staff to find solutions to the key global engineering and societal challenges of the 21st century.

This newly-created post will play a key role in providing post-award support in the School and will be pro-active role in raising the profile of each School’s research groups and increasing external engagement with academic research. The post holder will work on the instruction of the Director of Research and Knowledge Transfer and Operations Manager to plan and prioritise the cycle of business in relation to research administration for the School.  The post holder will also act as the administrative central point of contact for research related policies and procedures, acting as a key source of promoting knowledge and understanding within the School.
