PA to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor

University of Leicester - The President and Vice-Chancellor's Office

The University is ranked in the world's top 2% of universities, with an increasing base of international students. Our strategy has an increasing focus on internationalisation, with a view to building on Leicester's strengths and achievements, but also developing a greater emphasis, direction and sustainability across a broad range of our international activities and internationalisation agenda.

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, motivated individual to be a key member of our Executive Support Group who will provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the PVC International and up to the three College International Directors to ensure the efficient and effective operation of their portfolio. You will be proactive in using your own initiative and judgement to resolve issues and determine priorities.

Working with a high level of independence, you will provide a first-class level of support, ensuring their time is managed efficiently and effectively, often in the face of competing demands and tight deadlines. Ideally you will have experience of booking international travel and servicing committees. You will also provide administrative support to project work relating to the University’s international agenda, working closely with colleagues from the International Office. As part of the Executive Support Group, you will be required to develop an understanding of colleagues’ workloads and priorities to ensure the office provides a continuous and seamless service to the University Leadership Team at all times.

You will possess both the gravitas and highest standards of professional performance required to represent senior members of University staff, and the communication skills necessary to work with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders.
