The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Liverpool is creating a new research direction in relation to DIGITAL research, which is recognised as an emerging area of strength at the University of Liverpool ( The Department is therefore seeking several appointments at senior and lecturer level. As part of this expansion, the Department invites applications for the position of a Chair in Stochastic Computing and Random Processes. You have a PhD in an area of the Mathematical Sciences and have an excellent track record of publications in internationally excellent journals and experience as principle investigator for substantial external research funding. You have experience in teaching both small and large groups and in the supervision of postgraduate students. You will play a part in the development of a Numerical pathway for our undergraduate teaching of the Department, and you will provide leadership by connecting the existing excellence in numerical Mathematics of the Department and by informing strategic decisions for the new research cluster.
