The School is currently expanding its events-related provision, and is looking for a Senior Lecturer to join our events management team in the delivery of an events management undergraduate degree and MSc provision and to establish events management as a specialism. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make their mark by shaping the Faculty¿s events management provision from its early stages. This role can be full time or part time.

You will be responsible for:

  • Teaching students using appropriate instruction methods such as lectures, tutorials, and seminars
  • Leading modules, and supporting lecturers and associates in programme delivery and student assessment
  • Supervising student projects and dissertations and undertaking placement visits
  • Undertaking curriculum development work, the evaluation of courses and course materials and to supervise course provision
  • Participating in personal and / or collaborative research, publish in appropriate media, and / or undertake other forms of scholarly research and to disseminate research results/outputs

You should have:

  • A Masters degree, or equivalent qualification, in business management, events management or a related subject
  • Experience in developing programmes, and / or training and development activities, at HE level or equivalent
  • Understanding of the events management industry and the business environment in which it operates
  • Ability to teach events management at UG and PG level.
