Inspire, Innovate, Impact.

At the University of Derby, people are at the heart of everything we do. As a major, local employer we not only offer one of the region’s most competitive reward packages, but we are also constantly recognising and rewarding individual contribution, as well as helping to develop colleagues both personally and professionally. We take pride in being a really friendly, supportive and innovative workplace and we are genuinely committed to offering colleagues the opportunity to develop a fantastic, long-lasting career here with us.

We encourage applications from a diverse workforce who can help us achieve our desire to be the ambitious student’s natural choice for quality, support and achievement.

About the role
Significant investment from the University has led to the development of a wide range of new academic posts across Derby Business School, and we are now looking to attract the very best academic talent to contribute to our growing success as we embark on an ambitious expansion over the next five years in response to increasing demand for our programmes.

For this new post in Business and Management we are looking to appoint an experienced academic to help manage the development of our postgraduate/undergraduate programmes, and work closely with the Head of the Business and Management Division  to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our teaching programmes in order to allow us to continue to provide an exceptional student experience, and ensuring that enterprise, employability and 'real-world' learning are at the heart of the curriculum.

The post holder will have particular responsibility for teaching on (and leading) modules in the subject area of Contemporary Business and Management Issues. However, a flexible approach to teaching on a broader range of Business modules as necessary is required.

In order to support our research ambitions the successful candidates will engage in research which influences leading edge practice, informs and inspires research-led curriculum and contributes to continuing subject expertise and continuation to REF.

We encourage applications from a diverse workforce who can help us to achieve our desire to be the ambitious students’ natural choice for quality, support and achievement.
