Senior Lecturer

University of Edinburgh - College of Arts, Humanities and Soc Sciences - Counselling, Psycotherapy and Applied Social Sciences

To advance knowledge in an area relevant to the subject area through research and knowledge exchange, and to contribute to an excellent learning experience for students. The post holder will work collegially with, and take leadership roles in relation to, the existing academic team in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Applied Social Sciences (CPASS) and the wider School and University. The post holder will be expected upon appointment, and with an appropriate handover period, to take on the role of head of CPASS for a period of 3 years. The post will contribute to the subject area’s teaching programmes, and to research and masters supervision. The post holder will also advance research activity, including grant applications, working in research teams and publishing for academic and professional audiences to a level that is commensurate with at least international excellence standards of the Research Excellence Framework.

This position is full time and open ended (35 hours per week).

Salary: £49,772 - £55,998 per annum
