Warwick Law School is seeking to appoint an exceptional scholar to a permanent position as Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a proven record of teaching and research and a willingness to carry out associated administrative and pastoral duties. Founded in 1968, the Law School is proud of its distinctive, ‘law in context’ approach to legal studies. The School offers a suite of undergraduate degrees including the LLB, LLB with German Law and LLB with French Law, joint degrees with Sociology and Business Studies, and degrees offering an opportunity to study in the fields of Humanities or Social Sciences. At postgraduate level, we offer Masters degrees in International Economic Law, International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, International Development Law and Human Rights, International Commercial Law, and Advanced Legal Studies. Research within the School is broad ranging, with colleagues adopting a range of approaches including socio-legal, international, comparative, theoretical, interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches. We have Research Centres in Criminal Justice, Human Rights in Practice, Global Governance and Social Theory (with the Department of Sociology).

The School was ranked 6th for research environment and 7th for the quality of its published research in the national 2014 REF exercise.
