We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive individual to join our growing Flow Cytometry Core Facility here at the Babraham Institute as a Flow Cytometry Assistant/Flow Cytometry Specialist. 

The core facility is equipped with state of the art machines and is situated within a growing research campus that is home to the Institute and over 50 companies. For information about the core facility and the equipment can be found on http://www.babraham.ac.uk/science-services/flow-cytometry

The post holder will assist the Head of the Facility in providing a smooth and reliable cell sorting and analysis service to researchers.  This position is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop a career in cytometry.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience of flow cytometry and will be employed as a ‘Flow Cytometry Assistant’.  Training will be provided for this individual and following 2 years in this training position, and subject to key areas being met, the post holder will be eligible to apply for promotion to ‘Flow Cytometry Specialist’. 

However, any candidates with substantial experience in Flow Cytometry, preferably including experience in Cell Sorting will be employed as a ‘Flow Cytometry Specialist’.
