Teaching Associate in English Literature

Location: University Park

Salary: £29,301 to £38,183 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of English is seeking to appoint a fixed-term Teaching Associate in English Literature. The successful candidate will co-teach a level 3 (final year undergraduate) module, ‘Reformation to Revolution’, on literature from 1550-1688, and a first year unit, ‘Studying Literature’, covering the period from 1550-1800. They will also contribute to teaching across a range of other undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the area of literature 1500 to the Present.

Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area of English Literature prior to taking up the post.  Evidence of the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post from 1 September 2017 to 31 January 2018 based in the School of English, Trent Building, University Park.

The interview process will include a presentation of teaching and a formal interview.
