Visting Tutor Geography

Bishop Grosseteste University - School of Humanities

The University is seeking to appoint Visiting Tutors for Geography in support of its new undergraduate programme, which commences in 2017-18. Post holders will be required to teach and assess undergraduate students selected from a range of modules relating to the programme. These are covered in the job description and supporting information. We are looking for people who are able to share their experience with our undergraduate students, and enable them to begin to think critically about the wider field. We will provide excellent support and guidance to enable you to do that.

Geography at Bishop Grosseteste University is a new and developing subject at undergraduate level, but joins BGU’s existing PGCE Secondary Geography provision. The University has well-developed partnership and relationships with schools teaching Geography, and through the regional branch of the Geographical Association. You will be an inspiring and enthusiastic colleague with a varied and relevant set of relevant experiences.

Appointments will be made at our current Visiting Tutor rate (£41.47 per hour).

Please send a CV in the first instance to Dr Andrew Jackson, Head of School of Humanities, Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln, LN1 3DY; Tel:  01522 583751; (andrew.jackson@bishopg.ac.uk). Andrew is also able to respond to preliminary and informal enquiries.
