£33,493 rising annually to £37,075

Full Time, Permanent - Support

We are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to the Facilities Team within the Directorate of Estates and Facilities Management of Oxford Brookes University. The Facilities Team delivers support services to the University, including security, cleaning, caretaking and waste removal, with a total contract value of over £2.7m per annum.

As Contracts Manager you will:

  • deliver a range of facilities contracts to support the University, including cleaning, security and waste, from specification, procurement, mobilisation, to operation and quarterly monitoring
  • take an active role in managing the relationships with contractors
  • lead on the provision of Key Performance Indicators to support contract review meetings and provide information to senior management
  • scope additional services that the University requires, and contracting with suppliers to provide best value to the University

You should have:

  • a relevant professional qualification, for example BIFM, and demonstrable experience of managing facilities contracts in a large, complex organisation
  • experience of providing facilities management services on multiple sites
  • proven track record of managing supplier relationships
  • experience of delivering Key Performance Indicator reports to senior management
  • experience of procurement of services in the public sector

The University has embarked upon a ten year, multi million pound estates refurbishment programme to improve the student experience. The support provided by the EFM team is key to maximising the benefit of the new facilities.
