Lecturer in Cognitive Science fixed term for two years, full time

University of Sussex - Department of Informatics & Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science

The Department of Informatics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Cognitive Science for a three year fixed term contract. The post will cover for Professor Anil Seth whilst he is fulfilling his role as a Wellcome Trust Public Engagement Fellow, and will support research in the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science and the Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems research group.

The successful candidate will have active research interests in one or more of the following areas: cognitive and computational neuroscience, especially consciousness science, biologically inspired computation and adaptive systems. He/she will be expected to be able to teach at postgraduate level in the neuroscience of consciousness and adaptive systems. The successful candidate will join the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science, as well as the Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems Group.
