The School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London are looking to appoint a Quantitative Skills Tutor, to provide advice and guidance on quantitative skills to students and requires significant experience of data extraction, data analysis and statistical testing. The post will be based at the Mile End Campus, reporting to the Student Engagement Manager.

The Quantitative Skills Tutor will be responsible for the delivery of group in-sessional and pre-sessional workshops on research methods and data analysis, and provide drop-in and one-to-one sessions on quantitative skills for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students. The successful candidate will be a member of the administrative support staff in the School of Business and Management, working closely with the Teaching Services Team and the Student Engagement Manager, as well as alongside a Student Support Officer and an Academic Writing Tutor.

Candidates are expected to be educated to Masters or PhD degree level or equivalent in Economics, Finance, Marketing or related subject, with a proven record of providing quantitative support in an educational context. A high level of numeracy, the ability to effectively use databases and specialist software for quantitative research, in particular SPSS, EViews, Stata, R and Latex and excellent interpersonal skills, are also essential requirements of the role.

The post is part time, 17.5 hours per week 0.5 FTE and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range £18,032 - £21,215.50 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
