University of Northampton Enterprises Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Northampton. The University is the leading University in the UK for social impact and social innovation, supporting all types of enterprise and entrepreneurship. Through Northamptonshire Growth Hub we provide a high quality business support service which is designed to help individual and SME business clients across the UK to successfully start, build and run their businesses.

We are currently working in partnership with Northamptonshire County Council to deliver elements of their part-funded European Regional Development Fund project, Northamptonshire Digital Enhancement NoDE .

The project aims to provide eligible Northamptonshire SMEs with the ability to access a connectivity voucher in order to upgrade to superfast broadband, to receive a grant to enable business growth through digital solutions, or the opportunity to improve their digital capability through workshops and 1-2-1 advice from a Business Adviser.

This is a recently launched project which offers an opportunity to join a growing team within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Working within the Northamptonshire Growth Hub, the Business Adviser will support local businesses, seeking to understand each SME’s digital needs and providing them with relevant information, advice and guidance appropriate to the development stage of their business.

The individual should possess a comprehensive and practical understanding of the needs and dynamics of SMEs and an in-depth understanding of all the key functions of establishing, managing and operating an enterprise, as well as demonstrable experience of delivery of business support tools and techniques. Experience of delivering European funded projects ERDF or ESF would be a definite advantage.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, organised and able to manage time effectively, with an interest in digital solutions and emerging technologies.
