Salary: Lecturer: £32,004 – £38,183 pa

            Senior Lecturer: £38,183 – £48,327 pa

Grade: UH7 Lecturer / UH8 Senior Lecturer 

FTE: This is a full time position working 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Duration of Contract: Permanent position

The School of Engineering and Technology is seeking to make a permanent appointment in Automotive, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, with specific knowledge and experience in Engineering Design

We seek to appoint a high-achieving individual with a PhD in a relevant discipline and/or a relevant industrial background and experience. Teaching, training or experience of presenting will be an advantage. This role requires applicants to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, that will benefit teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level

The successful applicant will focus on teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, taking significant responsibility for providing pastoral support to students, but will also be able to contribute to the School’s other activities, such as research and commercial work. The School of Engineering and Technology offers degrees in in Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Systems Engineering, Aerospace Systems Engineering with Pilot Studies, Automotive Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, Automotive / Motorsport Engineering with management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Digital Technology.

The successful applicant will have either a Doctorate in a relevant engineering subject, or else significant relevant industrial experience combined with a first or higher degree in a relevant engineering subject, and will be expected to have the potential to undertake the full range of duties commensurate with a research-informed, teaching School.
