Lead Chef/Hospitality Chef

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated person to work as part of our Kitchen Team as Lead Chef/Hospitality Chef at The University of Reading, you will have experience of working in the catering industry and have excellent customer service. As Lead Chef/Hospitality Chef you will support the Head Chef & Deputy Head Chef in preparing and executing the menus as well as the management of the kitchen. Be passionate about cooking, at all levels. You will help create great experiences for customers and employees alike. Flexibility is of the up most importance to enable us to provide a consistent quality service to our customers and a can-do attitude.

You will have:

  • Certification of Minimum level 2 food safety
  • Food preparation certificates in city and guilds 706/1, 706/2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Knowledge of food preparation operations
  • Experience of working in different levels of catering operations
  • Ability to work to precise procedural standards
