As part of Student Services we provide information, advice, guidance and support for the personal, educational and career development needs of our students. We seek people who share our vision and have the drive to help our students make independent choices, and find their own solutions to the challenges of living in a communal accommodation setting.

Student Services are looking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide pastoral and administrative support for students living in University Halls of Residence. Through this role you will help develop a positive student community focused on shared ideas of tolerance, compromise and mutual understanding. You will also support personal growth and the development of emotional resilience in our students.

To succeed in this role you will possess good interpersonal skills, sensitivity in discussing difficult issues with students and a commitment to providing a positive student experience. You will deal with a range of enquiries quickly and efficiently and have a flexible approach to your working day. You will also possess exceptional administration skills and a high level of IT skills including Microsoft office packages. Working mainly from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (term time only) you will primarily be based at our Park Campus halls of residence but the role will also involve moving between sites dependant on the demands of our student population. During keys times in the year there will also be the need to work some additional hours (evening weekends).

In exchange for this we provide full on the job training as well as an internal university wide induction scheme and the chance for continuous development throughout your time on the role. You will also get 21 days holiday per annum pro rata as well as bank holidays and additional closed days.
