This is an exciting opportunity to join and help shape this newly established team. These new roles will guide and facilitate effective strategic planning within UCLan, helping the University to achieve its strategic objectives and maximise its position within the market. Working collaboratively with other Planning Partners, Faculties, Professional Services and other senior managers within the University, you will pro-actively make connections, identifying challenges and opportunities, and generating commitment in pursuit of the University’s strategic objectives.

With demonstrable experience of strategic and/or operational planning, you will have the ability to work effectively with colleagues of varying degrees of seniority across the university and secure their commitment to new approaches. Skilled in expressing complex information and ideas coherently and succinctly, you will be proactive and solution-focussed, able to draw on problem solving skills and think beyond the obvious.

A good honours degree or equivalent significant relevant professional experience is essential, along with a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification. Experience of working in HE, monitoring and report on performance against targets and an understanding of the principles of planning and performance management across a range of contexts are also core requirements for this position.
