The role

You will be a key member of the University Assessment Team, working with BPP’s centres across the United Kingdom to support assessment activities and provide outstanding assessment services for BPP students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Being the first point of contact for BPP students for assessment related enquiries, managing telephone and email queries as required
  • Supporting the timely organisation of examinations and oral/written/take away assessments, including preparation of materials, registers, room bookings and invigilators
  • Arranging the transport of examination materials to venues
  • Assisting with production of venue information
  • Liaising with Learning Support Officers and the University’s Overseas Assessment team, as
  • required, to ensure the correct provision of individual assessment arrangements for students in line with the University’s General Academic Regulations
  • Assisting with any post-examination related tasks as scanning documents and archiving files
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance with the University General Academic Regulations and the requirements of professional, regulatory or statutory bodies, providing advice as required
  • Liaising with BPP staff (from various departments) ensuring that queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively
  • Participating in Assessment Office team meetings, working closely with other Assessment
  • Office team members
  • Liaising with central service teams including Student Finance, International Office, Learning Support, Library, Student Advice, Graduation, and Regulation and Compliance
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required commensurate with the seniority of the position
  • Undertaking all duties and responsibilities in compliance with the rules and regulations encompassing equal opportunities
  • Adhering, complying, and working in accordance with University and Departmental policies, procedures and codes of conduct
  • Participating in training and professional development associated with the role

What we’re looking for

With excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping, you will have the ability to maintain a professional manner and calm approach in a busy office environment, demonstrating an ability to work under pressure with a diverse workload.

With good communication skills, you will also be familiar with MS Office and will possess advanced IT skills.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working in higher education, working with diverse client and stakeholder groups to maintain professional service delivery.
