The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund Junior Clinical Research Fellowships 2018

The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund

The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund invites applications for 3-year research fellowships into leukaemia and/or related haematological conditions. Awards will be considered in the following category:

  • Clinical research fellowships – open to clinicians seeking funding for a PhD in the field of leukaemia research usually at a UK centre.

Priority will be given to those intending to pursue novel lines of research, and the appointment will reflect the calibre of the applicant, the scientific merit and originality of the proposal, and the excellence of the proposed host institution.

Fellowships are expected to start by July 2018 (or soon after) and will cover salary costs for 3 years and costs of laboratory consumables in the UK but will not contribute to departmental overheads.

Applications must include a completed application form, a fully referenced proposal (3-5 single-spaced pages), a curriculum vitae, 2 academic references, a supporting letter from the prospective Head of Department of the host institution, and an estimation of costs. All documents should be sent electronically and supported by a hard copy with original signatures.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 20 October 2017.

Further information and application forms can be obtained from: The Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund, The Peak, 5 Wilton Road, London SW1V 1AP
