Centre Manager (Pre-Clinical Imaging) Grade 8

You will be responsible for the management and day-to-day functioning of the Centre for Preclinical Imaging facility (Bruker 9.4T MRI Scanner, Multi-Spectral Optoacoustic Tomography (MSOT, iThera Medical), fluorescence/bioluminescence (IVIS Spectrum, Perkin-Elmer), high frequency ultrasound scanner (S-Sharp)). The post requires involvement in all aspects of the various collaborative studies, including experimental design, choice of imaging strategies, execution of imaging studies, analysis and interpretation of the results, presentation of data for intermediary reports and publications, as well as providing training and support to users. You will also be involved with the development, assessment, validation and/or standardisation of new imaging technologies and their reliable exploitation to answer biomedical questions. You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, and with experience in MRI pre-clinical imaging, you will also have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging environment, and to build effective working relationships both within the Institute and across and out with the University.
