Postdoctoral Researcher - Bioinformatician

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher, to join our team at the Mahidol Oxford Research Unit (MORU) based in Bangkok, Thailand. You will work as a Bioinformatician, creating and implementing a bioinformatics pipeline, with a robust database system that can manage sequencing data. You will have operational responsibility to coordinate the effort into rickettsial and other bacterial bioinformatics analysis.

As the Postdoctoral Researcher – Bioinformatician, you will hold a relevant PhD/DPhil together with relevant experience in bioinformatics. You will have proven experience in developing bioinformatics pipelines and databases. Experience of working on collaborative research projects with clinicians and the ability to manage your own academic research and associated activities is essential in this role. You will have be a user of Python, R, and Unix environments. Experience of working on rickettsial genomics would be highly advantageous.

This post is available on a fixed-term basis for 3 years.
