The Academic Partnership Office is seeking to appoint a senior member of academic staff to be the University’s academic lead for UK and overseas partnership programmes. 

The Academic Programme Manager will help ensure that the University benefits from maintaining and developing excellent academic partnerships both in the UK and overseas. This will involve effective collaboration with academic staff to maintain standards and drive the development and quality of new and existing academic partnerships. As such the role requires working effectively with the Dean of Academic Partnerships and Faculty staff at all levels including Deans, Subject, programme and module leaders.

The post holder must be able to demonstrate academic capability and deliver teaching, research/scholarly activity in an area which is core to the operation of academic partnership work and be able to lead colleagues and co-ordinate academic activity across disciplines and faculties. The role includes overseeing the effective planning, development and delivery of the partnership programme portfolio from an academic perspective. This will include supporting partner quality assurance, enhancing the student learning experience at partners, and ensuring partner student academic achievement is satisfactory whilst maintaining the standard of programme delivery. The applicant should have recent experience of managing complex partnerships and be capable of working across the University to help deliver organisational goals in relation to partnership income. Local and international travel will be required and you will have recent experience of managing relationships with partners and their teams.

Accountable to the Dean of Academic Partnerships, the post holder will be a key member of the Academic Partnership Office, working with the team to enhance and influence all University partnership activity.
