Employability Education Manager (Maternity cover)

Location: University Park

Salary: £38,183 to £46,924 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post in the Careers and Employability Service. The post will be based at University Park Campus.  

The University of Nottingham is seeking a high quality individual who is hard-working and driven to embrace the challenges of the changing employability agenda in higher education. The post-holder will have responsibility for the strategic management and delivery of employability provision that works alongside our faculty provision.

Confident with liaising at a senior level, you will work closely with staff from a range of departments and colleagues from partner organisations. The focus will be on developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of students and recent alumni who are engaged with cross discipline initiatives, typically offered in partnership with other University of Nottingham professional services (including, but not limited to: Alumni Relations, Widening Participation, Libraries Research and Learning Resources, International Office, UoN Sport) or the Students’ Union. This will include careers education, information, advice and guidance activities, employer engagement, event organisation, mentoring and placement support.

You will be responsible for deploying the resource which exists within the Employability Education Team to meet the greatest needs, working in partnership with specialist colleagues across the Service. You will also contribute to the overall operation and effectiveness of the Careers and Employability Service in support of University priorities.

You may be experienced in career development, professional development, HR, teaching or have significant relevant sector-based experience where you can demonstrate a track record of innovation, success and encouraging the achievements of others. Candidates should have proven leadership, team management and change management experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

This is a part time (25.38 hours per week), maternity cover post for a period of 9 months. The nature of the role means that during peak periods you will be required to work evenings and occasionally early morning and on weekends.
