Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Deep Earth Petrology

We seek an outstanding postdoctoral research assistant (PDRA) to participate in a project to investigate thermodynamic properties of Earth’s core. This project is part of ERC Consolidator grant: Exploring Thermodynamic Properties of Earth’s Core-Forming Materials (Earth core). The PDRA will conduct laser-heated diamond anvil cell (DAC) experiments at several synchrotron facilities and chemical analysis of the recovered samples at the University of Edinburgh.

This post is full time, fixed term for 15 months. The position will start on 1st December 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
