Reader/Professor of Architecture

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Reader/Professor of Architecture within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Ambitious candidates with aspirations to progress to professorial status are particularly encouraged to apply. 

The School of Architecture & the Built Environment is an active and thriving area within the University with good industrial links and professionally accredited programmes delivered in the UK and overseas. Expansion of the School will coincide with the move to brand new, custom built facilities as part of the University’s ongoing £250M investment program. Architecture is experiencing rapid growth with the first cohort of Architecture students going through ARB prescription, and suite of programmes with CIAT accreditation/accreditation status. There are plans to grow the suite of programmes in this discipline. 

You will provide academic leadership to the department and also contribute to the accreditation process. You will contribute significantly to the accreditation of programmes and will provide leadership in research along with mentoring of other staff within the department. You will also assist us in becoming a provider of choice, we need to increase our staff base to ensure that we continue to provide a first-class teaching and learning environment for our students to succeed.
