Medical Physicist (PET,MRI,PET-MRI)

The salary will be paid at Grade 7, £40,523 to £48,327 per annum, plus  £2,623 per annum London Allowance.

This post will be Fixed Term Contract until 31/3/2019 in the first instance

This is a Full-time – 100 % full time equivalent

We are seeking to appoint a Medical Physicist with experience of MRI or PET/Nuc Med, and ideally both, who will provide scientific, technical and regulatory support to facilitate PET-CT and PET-MRI imaging projects performed as part of our Biomedical Research Centre, and to ensure these are performed to the highest standards. Projects will cover several areas, including performing first-in-man studies of new radiopharmaceuticals, and the role will evolve depending on how the various projects progress.

The post holder will work as a member of a team of medical physicists and will share some routine support duties. State-registration is desirable, but for a suitable candidate ACS pre-registration training to attain HCPC state registration could be considered. As for similar BRC funded posts, this position is until 31/3/19 with the possibility of 3 years extension dependent upon confirmation on continued funding.

The selection process will include  a panel interview.
