The University is investing over £45 million in a new Sport and Wellness Hub and associated campus facilities which will open in the 2019 academic year. As part of this investment the University also has a vision of becoming “the most physically active campus community in the UK by 2020”. As part of this vision Warwick Sport is now looking to appoint a Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to work across Warwick Sport and other key internal departments in devising programmes and activities to support and improve the physical and mental wellbeing of the whole student and staff community.

A key part of the role will be to support the Mental Health Referral Project which will include meeting with students and staff that have been referred and putting in place 12 week physical activity programmes to support with their mental wellbeing as well as meeting regularly with individuals and evaluating the impact of the programme. This programme will also work closely with Wellbeing Services and the Counselling Service.

The role will also plan and administer an outreach programme across the University campus that encourages staff and students to engage in physical activity and deliver events and campaigns that raise the awareness of health and wellbeing and encourage more individuals to make positive lifestyle choices.
