The Department

The School of Biological Sciences is large and diverse, engaging in research and education ranging from Biomedical Science to Marine Biology, creating a challenging and rewarding environment for both students and staff. We are looking for an ambitious individual who will provide strategic and managerial support to the Head of School and Senior Management Team – driving and providing excellence and quality.

Role and Duties

This full-time post is the senior administrative officer within the school, responsible for the management of academic quality assurance processes and administrative structures in the School, leadership of the Education, Research and Technical Services teams including management of an administrative support team, and acting as an interface between the School, the Faculty and the University’s central Professional services teams.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have proven extensive high level administrative experience in a challenging and complex role and a broad understanding of Higher Education, along with excellent communication, IT and leadership skills.
