Our busy, customer-focused academic library requires an Extended Hours Assistant to work part-time, evenings and weekends during University terms, currently for 29 weeks per year (October to June), providing borrowing facilities, answering basic enquiries from Library customers, and re-shelving. Applicants must have a good general education (minimum 2 ‘A’ Levels or equivalent), good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work accurately on routine duties and to work as part of a team.  Customer service experience is essential. 

This is a part-time, term-time-only Grade 3 post: £16,289 - £17,898 per annum, pro rata, available on a fixed-term basis till June 2018. Application is by CV and covering letter.  This post is subject to standard probationary terms.  Further information will be issued in the contract of employment.

The closing date for the receipt of applications is midday on 5th September 2017; short-listing is scheduled to take place around 13th September, with interviews on 4th October 2017.
