Insight and Marketing Manager

The Insight and Marketing Manager is required to think creatively and strategically about the use of the Development and Alumni Relations System (DARS) in the context of Alumni Relations, and to support the Alumni Office through the creation of effective marketing campaigns for all activities. Strategic analysis and effective segmentation of a database of around 300,000 alumni records will also form a key part of the role. 

The postholder needs strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with colleagues in the Alumni Office and to build relationships across the collegiate University and the HE Sector. Excellent time management skills are also essential as the postholder will manage multiple projects at once. 

They must also be able to influence change and drive forward best practice within the department and more widely, and be comfortable communicating complex and/or technical information to other staff effectively. 

The postholder will need to maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, in particular the Data Protection Act, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For the first 6 months the postholder will assist in managing the process for confirming and communicating the University’s new privacy policy and approach to gathering collected consent.
