The Department is currently seeking to appoint a Graduate Tutor in Engineering Management to contribute to our research. The post is open to graduates with an interest in the management of digital technologies and their potential for the disruption of well-established industries.

In the traditional commercial operation, delivering high-quality product and/or service with the least cost is the key driver to success. However, in the last decade the business environment is experiencing fast technological changes offering smart networks along the whole of the business value chain.

This research aims to investigate the strategic and operational implications on an industry of choice in relation to the disruptive challenge of the Internet of Things (IoT). It offers a vision into innovation management in terms of the operational infrastructure, business model and organisational capabilities needed to facilitate the shift to a new business operation.
