We are looking for an individual who will not only provide secretarial support for Prof Markus, but will also play a crucial role in helping him administer and support this developing research group. Hugh Markus divides his time between academic work and clinical work in stroke/neurology. The stroke research group works closely with the NHS stroke service, but this job is only to provide secretarial and administrative support for the University/Stroke side. 

The Stroke Research Group is one of the leading/research groups within the UK and has a strong international reputation. It has recently seen a period of major expansion with the appointment of Hugh Markus, as Professor of Stroke Medicine, with a research group numbers increasing to approximately 20. Research in the group is mainly focused on advanced imaging and genetic techniques applied to stroke. There is also an interest in vascular dementia

The role is based in R3 Neurosciences within Addenbrooke's Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and is shared with NHS staff.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2019 in the first instance.
