Triangular Alliance Coordinator

Anglia Ruskin University - Lord Ashcroft International Business School

Fixed term contract until 31 July 2018

Closing Date - 3 September 2017

About Anglia Ruskin University:

Anglia Ruskin is a vibrant workplace and our University is gaining prominence both nationally and internationally. We have ambitious plans for the future and we are determined that our students and staff will realise their full potential. Our main campuses in the cities of Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough have been transformed with major capital investment. With an annual turnover of over £200m, we are a major force for higher education and one of the largest universities in the East of England.

About the role:

The Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS) has a strong national and international track record for research, with over 50% of its published research ranked as world leading or internationally excellent in Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.

LAIBS has an alliance with the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough (GCGP) Enterprise Partnership and Allia. The Triangular Alliance was founded on three delivery priorities: the housing growth agenda; the aging population economy and sustainability actions. These are shared priorities the three organisations have agreed to tackle and deliver solutions for together. The priorities are underpinned by three crosscutting themes, namely: strategic review, digital connectivity and innovative finance.

Working within the Research and Enterprise Team, you’ll be required to provide innovative and pioneering co-ordination of the Alliance. This will entail supporting a broad range of external and internal project management, networking and creative activities. This will include researching, project management and optimising delivery opportunities for the Alliance in support of the Alliance operational team, one person from each organisation.

With a degree, you’ll be a passionate individual, committed to working in a dynamic educational and research environment. You’ll be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You'll have familiarity and experience of collecting and analysing data using appropriate quantitative and qualitative techniques. You’ll have previous experience in an innovative project management and administrative role. Event organisation and production of marketing and promotional material is essential. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of working accurately in a high-pressured environment, meeting tight deadlines and working on your own initiative within a wider team. You’ll be required to travel between campuses and Alliance offices as needed, and occasionally elsewhere within the UK.

Informal enquiries can be made to Hoi Lei Chan, at hoilei.chan@anglia.ac.uk or on 01223 695687.
