Digital Education Services Specialist

The Digital Education Services Specialist will manage a range of UCL’s e -learning services such as the VLE, e-assessment tools, and educational social media services.

They will liaise with several technical teams to ensure service continuity and availability, and take a leading role in planning upgrades and resolving incidents related to these services.

They will be responsible for the service lifecycle, from introduction, to regular use and decommissioning, and will contribute to service strategies and roadmaps. They will work with colleagues in the Digital Education Futures team to review potential new services, and will plan and cost implementation of new services.

They will promote Digital Education’s services and liaise with key stakeholders and with the wider user community to ensure that services continue to meet institutional needs

They will be a learning technologist with experience of , designing, managing or maintaining IT services at an operational level; managing system upgrades; defining and managing service KPIs; supplier management, procurement and tendering and shaping learning technology policy, strategy and practice.

They will also possess strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, and excellent oral, written and presentation skills. They will be proactive with a strong sense of teamwork and a strong customer service orientation.
