The Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in Kleve and Kamp-Lintfort offers an innovative, international environment combined with first-rate teaching in interdisciplinary Bachelor and Master's degree courses, taught mainly in English. We are looking for support in the faculty of Communication and Environment, Campus Kamp-Lintfort and would like to fill the following vacancy summer term 2018:

Your tasks

  • The candidate should represent the field of Innovation Management in teaching and research in the faculty of Communication and Environment and offer expertise in the area of Operations
  • Involvement in applied research in cooperation with the business sector, as well as research and development (r&d) work at university and research institutes, together with technology transfer
  • Teaching course includes contents of the Bachelor and Master's degree courses
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation in the fields of R&D, Engeneering, Marketing & Sales
  • Teaching basic courses and optional courses in German and English in the context of the teaching area, also in the evening and at the weekend
  • Activities in the field of academic self-administration

Your profile

  • University education in business management and pertinent doctorate
  • Practical professional experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Research expertise to be verified by relevant publications, lectures and research projects
  • Excellent command of the English language is essential
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and team skills

The general statutory employment prerequisites result from Section 36 of the Law regarding the Universities in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz HG). Accordingly, the following are required in particular:

  • a completed course of study in a pertinent subject at a scientific university
  • special aptitude for scientific work, usually verified by the quality of a doctorate
  • special achievements in applying or developing scientific knowledge and methods during a period of at least five years of professional experience, including at least three years outside the academic sector.

Those applicants not being German native speaker shall at least have basic knowledge of the German language.
