Events and Executive Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Job overview:

The Vice-Chancellor's Office is seeking to appoint an Events and Executive Assistant on a fixed term contract for 13 months or earlier return of post holder.
The role entails providing assistance to the Executive Support Officers and Senior Team and responsibility for organising internal and external events for the Vice-Chancellor's Office. 
You will also support travel arrangements for the senior staff and assist in the daily running of the office. 
This is a public facing role and the ability to communicate effectively with staff internal and external to the university is essential. 
Also the ability to pay close attention to detail is critical for this post. You should also have experience in booking and arranging travel and diary management.
You will need excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to prioritise and organise a busy and demanding workload. 
You will require high level IT skills in all Microsoft Office applications and in particular Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint. 
Experience in organising high level events would be an advantage.
