Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow

University of Bristol - Bristol Medical School (PHS)

We wish to appoint a talented and enthusiastic medical statistician or epidemiologist at Senior Research Fellow (SRF) level to design and lead quantitative applied health research in the NIHR CLAHRC West (Collaboration for Leadership in Health Research and Care in the West). This post is an exciting opportunity to undertake research aiming to have a clear impact on health and health care, and to work collaboratively with other researchers in multidisciplinary teams at one of the UK’s leading centres for applied health research. The post-holder will be based in Population Health Sciences within Bristol Medical School at the University of Bristol. We would also consider the appointment of a Research Fellow (RF) clearly on track to SRF, and provide such a candidate with support to achieve the post's tasks. The post-holder will lead the NIHR CLAHRC West “effectiveness” team (currently three senior research associates and one research associate) and will work closely with the ‘epidemiology’ team lead overseeing the joint quantitative team. They will work collaboratively with staff in the other NIHR CLAHRC West themes, leading and conducting research using statistical methods to provide evidence about effective care across the west, and contributing to national and international priorities and policies.

Salary in the range £41,709 - £46,925 (Research Fellow) or £49,772 - £55,998 (Senior Research Fellow)

To commence as soon as possible, until end September 2019
