This varied and challenging positon forms part of the Support and Development team within the department of Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD). The post holder will play a significant role in supporting the University's education and student strategy.

LEaD is made up of an Academic team, Educational Technologists, Learning Success, The Student Counselling and Mental Health Service and a Support and Development team.

LEaD works with Schools and Services to enhance the educational experiences of our students and champion innovation in teaching and learning.


The post holder will work as part of the Service Development and Support team to provide high quality financial, administrative, customer service and clerical support to LEaD. They will work alongside the Service Development Manager to lead on the planning, organising, administration and publicity of events.

The post holder will also work closely with the Programme Director and other LEaD staff to manage the administration of the academic programmes, including the MA Academic Practice and the MPhil/PhD Professional Education Programmes.

Person Specification

  • Significant experience in an HE administration setting is essential as is knowledge of student record systems (SITS)
  • Experience of events organisation is also required.
  • High level problem solving and interpersonal communication skills are required together with proficiency in a number of IT packages and systems.
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a busy, varied workload and deadlines is essential. The role holder will also oversee the workload of others. Applications are invited from staff wishing to progress their career in HE administration.
