Full time and Hourly Paid Part-Time Tutors: Health and Social Care

Part-Time Tutors are required to teach Health and Social Care subjects at HND level for September 2017 intake

Applicants must have significant teaching experience in UK at University level preferably at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level and minimum master degree level qualification from a UK University. Key subject areas include:

  • Communicating in Health and Social Care Organisations
  • Principles of Health and Social Care Practice
  • Health and Safety in the Health and Social Care Workplace
  • Personal and Professional Development in HSC
  • Research Project
  • Empowering Users in HSC
  • Working in Partnership in HSC
  • Understanding Specific Needs in HSC
  • Safeguarding in Health and Social Care
  • Health Promotion
  • Psychology for Health and Social Care
  • Employability Skills
  • Contemporary Issues in HSC
  • Facilitating Change in HSC
  • Managing Quality in HSC
  • The Role of Public Health in HSC

In addition to relevant academic and professional qualifications, applicants must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of holding seminars/ tutorials and preparing students for assignments and examinations at HND and degree levels.

It is a mandatory requirement of the College that the successful candidate must need to declare attendance to the CPD Workshop on 22 and 23 September 2017. Signing the Contract with the College will also require you to attend Assessment Boards, Departmental meetings and any other meetings as required
