Senior Partnerships Manager (High Growth SMEs)

UCL Innovation and Enterprise is seeking to appoint a High growth SMEs senior partnerships manager to work with the Director of Business and Innovation partnerships in UCL Innovation and Enterprise, and relevant UCL faculties and departments, to design, develop and implement a coherent and highly impactful programme of support for high growth SMEs in London and the wider region.

The role holder will be responsible for developing UCL’s strategic thinking and approach to business and innovation partnerships with SMEs, working with the widest range of organisations in the London SME ecosystem, including government, local authorities, business support groups, entrepreneur networks and funders, to exploit and expand UCL’s role in delivering high growth SME support projects for the benefit of UCL and London. Responsibilities will also include overall institutional oversight and management of the Innovate UK-funded Enterprise Europe Network project, and KTP programmes.

Understanding and experience of the challenges and opportunities for high growth SMEs in London will be essential, as will an understanding of the funding and innovation ecosystem in which businesses operate in London and the south-east.

The role holder will be part of the Business and Innovation Partnerships unit, and will work closely with a team of senior partnership managers who engage with business and other stakeholders in key industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, creative industries and the built environment
