The School of Biological Sciences, one of the largest in the University of Edinburgh, is redeveloping its estate at the King’s Buildings campus to produce a new and cohesive mini campus for Life Sciences, due for completion by 2021 – Building a New Biology. The mixture of new builds and extensive refurbishments provides an exciting opportunity to regenerate and develop flexible accommodation for advanced technologies, research, teaching and public engagement. We wish to engage a forward thinking and experienced planner and change manager to assist with the delivery and reoccupation of the accommodation.

The ideal candidate will have significant demonstrable experience of organising, planning and delivering successful infrastructure or change management projects within a scientific environment; advanced understanding of equipment and facility specification; excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills complemented by a sound professional background in technical services management.

The post is full time and fixed term for 5 years. The post is available from November 2017.
