Strategic Change Project Officer

Salary: £28,452 to £32,004 per annum (pro-rata if part time) together with USS pension benefits.
The normal expectation is that the successful applicant will be appointed to the minimum of the scale with annual increments on 1 October each year (subject to completing six months service).

APM Grade 7.

This is a fixed term position until 31st July 2019. The post holder may be required to work across the University sites as required.

Main Purpose of the Post
Based in the Change Management Team within PSPU, the main purpose of this role is to support the Strategic Change Managers and the Pro-Vice-Chancellors in their leadership and delivery of change management initiatives to further the advancement of the University.

This Project Officer role is based in the Change Management Team within PSPU. Working alongside the Strategic Change Managers, the post holder will support the implementation of a programme of projects and activities critical to the University’s strategic transformation. In the first instance these projects will include STEP4Excellence (Student Experience Programme for Excellence) and the Teaching Excellence Framework (a UK Government scheme for recognising excellent teaching).

The responsibilities of the post-holder will often be confidential, sensitive and urgent, and will require the post holder to exercise sound judgement about the most appropriate course of action, especially in the absence of the Change Manager or the Director of the PSPU. The workload associated with the post will be demanding, requiring first class communication skills, personal organisation and flexibility, as well as an ability to work to absolute deadlines.
