Lancaster University Students' Union is looking for a focussed and determined team player to become a key part of our team as Opportunities Coordinator (Sports). You will join us at an exciting and challenging time for sport at Lancaster with an institutional review of sport on the horizon as we work collaboratively with the University to enhance and communicate sporting pathways that reflect our top 10 standing.

You will be immersed in the delivery of our BUCS inter-varsity programme and our inter college and intra-mural offering. You will also be a key member of the team responsible for delivering Roses, our grudge match varsity against our rivals, the University of York (find out more at www.roselive.co.uk). These sporting programmes engage thousands of students across campus, giving them an outlet for their passions and helping them to develop new skills in the process. You will become part of an energetic team committed to supporting students make the most of their time at here through opportunities that have a positive impact on the University experience.

We want a talented professional who can meet our high standards of quality when it comes to activity design and delivery. We are looking for someone who can collaborate creatively with others but who also isn’t afraid of taking responsibility for the successful delivery of projects and events.

To succeed in this role you will need an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a high competency when it comes to administrative duties. You will need to have empathy and a good understanding of what it is like to be a student today and the subtleties of sporting landscape in higher education. A passion for sport is a must too!
