University of Leicester - International Study Centre

Tutor/tutors required for Biology and Chemistry - fixed term part-time contracts. Biology to commence Sept 2017 / Chemistry to commence Jan 2018.

Based at St Georges Tower, 1B St Georges Way, Leicester, the International Study Centre (managed by Study Group) prepares international students for entry onto the first year of undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Leicester.

We are currently looking for hourly paid tutor(s) to teach Biology and Chemistry modules on the Science International Foundation Year, starting in September 2017. Tutors can apply to teach on one or both subject areas. Teaching experience at ‘A’ level or in a University environment is essential. Applicants should preferably be qualified teachers in their subject although PhD students in relevant disciplines are very welcome to apply.

Experience of teaching students within an international context is highly desirable. Good IT and organisational skills are essential. Teaching commitment will be explained at interview but will be approximately 5 hours a week per module.
