A superb career opportunity has become available within our University Library and we are pleased to be advertising for an Information Assurance Services Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. It will be your duty as the post holder to provide experienced and specialist expertise to the University in the development and maintenance of an information assurance framework that ensures that information essential to the University is managed efficiently and securely, and in full compliance with legal, regulatory and best-practice requirements. You will have specific responsibility for Information Security Policy and information-related legislation.

We will rely on you to advise the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and other senior University staff on the opportunities and risks associated with the management of information assurance enabling informed decision-making and ensuring senior staff are kept informed of current and projected strategic, operational, legislative and regulatory issues relating to information assurance.

As the successful candidate, you will have significant experience working in a complex organisation in a capacity related to information assurance and previous experience working at an appropriately senior level in this capacity. It is important that you have experience of managing development projects and have the ability to implement organisational change with respect to policy and procedure. This role would be ideal for a candidate who can demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills. We look forward to receiving your application.
